Train with TaiChiRine

Today's world is moving at an incredibly fast pace.

Breathing naturally requires an effort and slowing down the pace feels like wasted time.

As the tempo of life keeps gaining momentum, for the sake of our health (and our sanity), it has become increasingly important to take a moment and just BREATHE.

We are constantly under so much stress that our minds and bodies end up paying the price. External pressure (work, finances, relationships, expectations..) and our internal reactions (anxiety, fear, adrenaline, disappointment..) have negative impacts on our well-being. In order to move forward and face the world with clear thoughts, the mind needs to be still.

Practicing with Chirine will lead one to feel grounded, strong and happy.

Tai Chi strengthens the body and calms the mind. When practiced regularly, the body will truly appreciate this meditation in movement and its effects will show, allowing one to feel balanced, confident and capable of doing more.

About TaiChiRine

Balance is Power

Chirine is an experienced Yang Family Tai Chi instructor from Montreal, Canada.

Training since 2004, her love and daily practice of the internal art led her to travel to the U.S. and China for a deeper study. She attended seminars and participated in international competitions.

In order to better understand the culture and philosophy behind Tai Chi, Chirine learned Mandarin, explored Taoism and completed her studies in Acupuncture and Moxibustion.

Specialized in pain management, Chirine encourages people of all ages to practice Tai Chi. She truly believes it is a benefit to everyone: While the younger can enhance their bodies and learn to prevent injuries and aches, the older can strengthen their joints and feel less fragile as they grow.

What is Tai Chi?

Tai Chi is a Chinese internal martial art known for its slowness and graceful appearance. It is practiced for self-defense and provides lifelong health benefits.

The name Tai Chi is also known as Tai Chi Chuan or Taijiquan and is based on the Yin Yang philosophy which is the basis and dynamic force behind every move in the practice.

What are the benefits of Tai Chi?

Continuous studies and research shows that Tai Chi greatly benefits the body, the mind and the spirit (the emotions).

Whether practiced in a group or alone, the outcome during and after practice leaves one with a calmer, stronger and measurably healthier state of being. Some of the benefits specifically help with stress, physical and emotional tensions, help increase mobility and balance, reduce fatigue and improve sleep.

Who can practice Tai Chi?

Everybody can practice Tai Chi. Regardless of your age or health condition, Tai Chi applies to your capacities and respects your limits.
If you have any health concerns, chronic pains or have had a recent accident, simply advise and a safer method of practice will be tailored for you.

What outfit is required to practice?

No uniform is required.

Comfortable clothing that allows movement without restriction is recommended (avoid tight jeans, be comfortable in your shoes, etc.)
